A Comment About Shopping

Dear Retailers (in this instance, Herberger’s and Target):

$11 off a product that is normally $138 is not a sale. Please don’t waste your time. I will not be buying it when it’s only $11 off.

$.30 off a product that is usually $4.98 is not a sale. Please keep your product, and I will keep my money.

When you try to fool me with your little red “sale” tags, I’m not fooled. I laugh at your “sale” prices, slide my purse strap a little higher onto my shoulder, and leave your store. Nice try, but I won this round.

Sincerely,

Mary
